IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Parent Guidelines

• Please ensure that all relevant details are duly filled in the Personal Data Form in the school almanac.
• Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones, iPods, music systems, electronic gadgets, or large amounts of money to school. Such items will be confiscated if found.
• Parents may send only toffees (preferably eclairs) to celebrate their child's birthday. Students from Class I onwards are not permitted to wear coloured clothes on birthdays.
• Parents and guardians must ensure that students arrive at school on time. Late arrivals may lead to detention, suspension, or being sent home after repeated warnings.
• Guardians are requested not to loiter in the school corridors during school hours. Entry into classrooms is strictly prohibited.
• No child may leave the school during school hours except in genuine emergencies with the permission of the Principal. The Principal's decision shall be final.
• Every student is expected to participate in all school activities, including those conducted after school hours or outside the school campus.
• The following are strictly prohibited: hair colouring, perming, mehendi, nail polish, body tattoos, kajal, eyeliner, perfumes, deodorants, hair gel, nose rings, bangles, expensive watches, and fancy accessories.
• Parents are requested to monitor the books, magazines, websites, CDs, DVDs, and other media being accessed by their children.
• Students must always address teachers and school staff with respect, courtesy, and good manners.
• Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books, bags, stationery, and all personal belongings.
• Chewing gum, pan masala or any other form of addiction, irregular attendance, disobedience, misconduct, verbal or written obscenity, use of unfair means in examinations, damage to school or others' property, use of foul language, physical assault, bullying, rowdy behaviour, and misconduct in the school transport will invite strict disciplinary action. Repeated misconduct may lead to suspension from school or issuance of a Transfer Certificate (TC).
• It is mandatory for every student to bring the School Almanac and wear the School ID Card every day. In case of loss, a duplicate Almanac can be issued on payment of ₹150/- and a duplicate ID Card on payment of ₹100/- along with a written application to the school office.
• Only transparent water bottles are permitted inside the school campus.
• The school follows a system of Continuous and Comprehensive Assessment (CCA) in accordance with CBSE guidelines. Students are assessed throughout the academic year through unit tests, assignments, project work, classroom performance and semester examinations.
• The academic year is divided into two semesters. The First Semester Examination is held in September and the Final Semester Examination is conducted in February.
• For Primary Classes and above, Unit Tests are generally conducted for 30 marks. However, General Knowledge (GK), EVS and Moral Reader Unit Tests carry 20 marks. For Pre-Primary, Unit Tests are conducted for 20 marks.
• For Primary Classes and above, Semester Examinations are evaluated out of 100 marks, comprising 80 marks written examination (GK, EVS and Moral Reader carry 30 written marks), 10 marks from Unit Test performance, 5 marks for Assignments and Project Work, and 5 marks for Decorum, Discipline and Attendance. Drawing has a semester examination, but its marks are not included in the Progress Card.
• For Pre-Primary, Semester Examinations are conducted for 50 marks, consisting of 40 written marks, 5 marks from Unit Test performance, and 5 marks for Decorum, Discipline and Attendance.
• The syllabus is divided equally into two semesters. The First Semester covers approximately 50% of the syllabus, while the remaining portion is completed in the Second Semester. However, the Final Semester Examination may include questions from the entire syllabus.
• The 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month are normally holidays. However, these Saturdays may be declared as working days to compensate for unforeseen situations such as strikes, natural calamities, waterlogging or other emergencies.
• Junk food and fast food are strictly prohibited inside the school premises.
